Harbour Promotes From Within


July 2011 - In a move to better serve the growing needs of its clients, Harbour is pleased to announce a recent senior management promotion and changes within their existing team. These include Ms. Leanne Golding being promoted to Senior Vice President, and Ms. Cassandra Powell and Mr. Philip Dickie being appointed to Harbour’s Board of Directors.

Leanne has been with the firm since early 2009 and has responsibility for providing fiduciary services to Harbour’s fund clients. Her new role will see her serving as director to funds. She is a highly accomplished fund services professional with specialised skills in new fund start-ups, investor services, training and compliance. Prior to joining the firm, Leanne was previously employed by the Cayman Islands office of Goldman Sachs for nine years, including a tenure as Vice President, Global Investor Services. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and an Accredited Director (Chartered Secretaries of Canada), and is on the Education and Research Sub-Committee of AIMA Cayman.

Before joining the firm as Senior Vice President in 2007, Cassandra worked at a locally based professional services firm for over five years where shedealt exclusively with fund clients, providing directorship and related fiduciary services. Prior to this, Cassandra was employed by the Portfolio of Finance and Economic Development of the Cayman Islands Government for over four years. Cassandra holds a Master of Business Administration degree, is a Trust and Estate Practitioner, and is a Notary Public in the Cayman Islands.

Philip began his career with Deloitte in Halifax, Canada in 1994 and was a Manager in the audit group when he left. He subsequently moved to The Bank of Bermuda Limited in Bermuda, where he gained considerable experience in the valuation and administration of various investment structures, with a focus on investment funds. Philip then joined the Bermuda office, and later the London office, of Union Bancaire Privee (“UBP”), where he was responsible for performing operational due diligence reviews on fund managers and their service providers for five years. He joined the firm as Senior Vice President in 2007. Philip is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
